Maternal Life Kenya
MLI’s efforts in Kenya are led by James and Mariam Gichuki in Narok, and Njoroge and Mukami Ngaruiya in Thika. They had both completed previous “training of trainers” programs in Tanzania and had taught The Faithful House in their local communities. Over the past two years, they have scaled up their outreach and training, bringing The Faithful House, The Couple Bead Method and food relief efforts to their local communities of Thika and Narok. The success of their work has led to further requests for these programs and they have provided training in dioceses and communities all the way to the borders of Tanzania and Ethiopia.
In addition to these formation programs, these couples coordinated food relief to the Thika slums and have set up two water towers and delivery systems in poor neighborhoods near Narok where water was unavailable.
